She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Edward Hanshaw and Ina Louise Murphy; and her brothers, William "Bill" Edward Hanshaw and Albert Hanshaw. She is survived by: her husband Donald Adkins; her son Shea Tyler Hanshaw (Amber Nicole); her sister Annette "Nettie" Rae Johnson (Lillian "Lill" Miller); and her grandchildren, Marcus Hanshaw and Kiera Hanshaw.

In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the funeral home to help the family with expenses.
