It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Everett e Montgomery of Patriot, Ohio, who passed away on March 20, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Monroe Montgomery and Virginia Kathleen Mooney Montgomery; his son James Allen Montgomery; his sister Nancy Altizer; and his grandson Everett Montgomery.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cheryl Renee Fuller (Kenny) and Melissa Montgomery; his grandchildren, DJ Montgomery (Rhonda), Wes Montgomery (Tabby), Sara McGuire (Jason), Colton Hensley (Brittany), Elijah Chapman, Evander Chapman, Ellie Montgomery, Ean and Emerly Montgomery; his great grandchildren, Natalie, Jamie, Angus, Shannon, Allie, Killian, Aria, Everleigh and Rosie Anne; his siblings, Carla Addis (Mark) and Lyndon Montgomery; and his daughter-in-law Laura.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home (810 2nd Ave, Gallipolis, OH 45631). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House 3100 Staunton Road Huntington, WV. 25702 in James' memory.
