He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Chester and Janie Pearl Phillips Thomas; his wife Judith Anne Thomas; and his siblings, Paul "Bud" Thomas, Rosemary Atkinson and Gloria Stapleton.
He is survived by: his children, Tuana Adams (Dana) of Patriot, Krista Thomas of Huntington, WV, Gregory Thomas (Denise) of Branchland, WV and Ronald Thomas (Kim) of Huntington, WV; and his brother Richard Thomas of Gallipolis, Ohio. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
