With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas Joseph Smyers of Pataskala, Ohio, born in Lancaster, Ohio, who passed away on March 9, 2025 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Thomas Joseph leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Smyers Sr. and Marcella Smyers (Spires). He is survived by: his girlfriend Florence Ashby; and his siblings, Raymond Smyers Jr., Linda Bigham and Cathy Smyers.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Kirkersville - Hoskinson Funeral and Cremation Service (285 E Main St, Kirkersville, OH 43033). A memorial service was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location.
In his memory, donations can be made to the Wounded Warriors Project and the ASPCA.
