He was predeceased by: his parents, Dolores Hupp and Russell Hupp Sr.; and his brother Dale Hupp. He is survived by: his wife Susanne "Susie" Hupp; his children, Renée Hupp (Jason Dillon) and Brian Hupp (Kristin); his grandchildren, Nolan Hupp and Olive Hupp; his brother Robert Hupp (Karen); his nieces, Vicky, Lisa and Julie; and his nephew Rick.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Russell's name to the Licking County 4H Band, 771 E Main St # 103, Newark, OH 43055.
