He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Cox and Neolin Cox (Fielder); and his brother Gary E. Cox. He is survived by: his wife Ann Cox; his children, Wayne R. Cox and Tina M. Bowen (Karl); his grandsons, Matthew Bowen (Myisha) and Andrew Bowen; his brothers, Kenneth Cox and Frederick Cox; his close friend Sean Lyle; and his pet Runt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home - Pickerington (550 Hill Rd N, Pickerington, OH 43147). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Woodmere Memorial Park (2701 Washington Blvd, Huntington, WV 25705).
