He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert'Bob' Langel and Freda Langel (Finley). He is survived by: his wife Rhoda; his children, Emily Thomes (Justin), Deni Phillips (Eric Nicholas) and Lance (Megan); his grandchildren, Carter, Patrick, Theo, Cora and Hudson; and his siblings, William'Willie' (Barb) and Lynda Bombach. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations could be made in Ray's name to the Wounded Warrior Project and Capital City Hospice.
