We are sad to announce that on December 19, 2020, at the age of 89, John Joseph Susil Sr. of Pataskala, Ohio, born in Blacklick, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Bohmil Susil and Aloise Susil (Veverka); his siblings, Mildred Susil, Frank Susil, Mary Simcoe, Louise Bobb, Joseph Susil and Frances Wesley; and his daughter-in-law Kay Susil.

He is survived by: his wife Virginia Susil; his children, John Jr. Susil (Patti), Michael J. Susil, Robert E. Susil (Donna) and Suzanne Hobbs (John); and his sisters, Anna Shelhart and Agnes Evans. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew Charitable Works, 807 Havens Corners Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230 in John's memory.

“My fondest memory of Uncle John was riding on the Hay bales behind his tractor during summer school breaks. Me and my cousin Suzie were the water girls. We would jump off the wagon and run back to the pump in the yard to get more water and then run back to whatever field they were working on. That hay would sway back and forth and from the top I always felt like I was going to fall but I trusted my uncle wouldn’t let that happen. I hope you are riding that tractor now Uncle John.”
