He is survived by: his wife Frances Mae (Robb); his children, James Van Dyke, Jr. of National Harbor, MD, Maria Pringle (Darl) of Ames, IA and Christina Van Dyke (John Massie) of Dublin, OH; his grandchildren, Marinna Van Dyke, James (Lauren Clough), Alycia, Ian Pringle, Hannah, Arthur Grant and Emma Stoutenburg (Sean Roberts); his great grandchildren, Evelyn, George and Henry Pringle; and his sister Mollie Harris.
