He was predeceased by: his parents, Cassel Paxson and Edith Paxson (Fouts); his wife Norma (Bettinger); his brother Cassel Paxson, Jr.; and his grandson Jesse Paxson (Beth).

He is survived by: his children, Tami Fravel (Todd) and Greg Paxson (Bev); his grandchildren, Robert Paxson (Heather), Tara McCoy (Austin), Tiffany Fravel, John Paxson (Sara) and Jack Paxson (Jessica); and his great grandchildren, Matilda, Cassel, Emma, Sophia, Allie, Scarlett, Piper, Castle, Tucker and Anabelle.
