It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elmer Carrol Long of Pataskala, Ohio, born in Crooksville, Ohio, who passed away on December 1, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Perley Long and Myrtle Grace Long; his wife Mary Lou Arnold Long; and his brothers, James Long, Rondo Long and Robert Long.

He is survived by: his daughter Rebecca Jayne Long of Radnor, Ohio; his granddaughter Angela Marie James (Jeremy); his great grandchildren, Dominic of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, Orion of Mt. Vernon, Ohio and Kayleb of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; and his sisters-in-law, Donna Long of Zanesville and Joan Groves of Philo. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Elmer's name to the American Legion Auxiliary Post 254, 114 Main St. Johnstown, OH 43031.
