He was predeceased by: his parents, Ulysses "Jack" Hamey and Myrtle Alyce Hamey; his wife Suzette; and his sisters, Peggy VanSoest and Jacqueline "Suzi" Yang.
He is survived by: his close friend Sharon Simkins; his children, Joseph Hamey (Jennifer) and Laura Hamey (Clyde); his grandchildren, Kayla Triplett (Ken) and Gage Hamey; his great grandchild Zane Triplett; and his brothers, Richard Hamey (Michele), James Hamey (Diane) and Jeffrey Hamey (Angie).
