He was predeceased by: his great grandchild Jacob Krumheuer; his parents, Vincenzo "James" Abate and Frances Abate; and his siblings, Jennie Benko, Ida Tomechko, Alveda Lantzy and Victor Abate.
He is survived by: his wife Santina "Sande"; his children, Francyne Kemp (David), Loretta Krumheuer (Mark) and Philip Abate (Glenda); his grandchildren, Spencer Krumheuer (Lindsay), Travis Abate (Sadie), Tanner Abate (Leah), Evan Krumheuer, Kassandra Kemp (Eric) and Jacob Kemp; his great grandchildren, Felix, Eliza and Rowan Abate; and his brother Michael Abate.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ripepi Funeral Home (5762 Pearl Rd, Parma, OH 44129). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Charles Borromeo Church (5891 Ridge Rd, Parma, OH 44129).
