He was predeceased by: his parents, Anan Bort and Laroma Bort; and his siblings, Colleen and Paul (Mary). He is survived by: his wife Cheryl; his children, Dennis, Donna Schmook (Joe), Karl R. "Chip" (Nicole), Pop, Joey (Emily), Johnny "Jonny", Amanda, Nicky Schmook, Adam, Emma, Owen, Aiden and Logan Bort; and his brother George (Tina).
