We are sad to announce that on January 10, 2025, at the age of 97, Helen Virginia Hackney of Parma, Ohio, born in Washington, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Wood and Mary Phillips Wood; her husband Donald; her siblings, Betty Mathews, Shirley Thomas, Donald, Robert, Ronald and Leroy; her grandson Jonathan; and her daughter Mona (William).
She is survived by: her children, Penny, Michael Wayne Hackney (Kathleen) of Parma, Larry Donald (Cindy) and Cathie Sue John (Gary) of St. James Missouri. She is also survived by 16 Grandchildren; 31 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great-great Grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Baker-Osinski-Kensinger Funeral Home (206 Front St, Berea, OH 44017). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Hospice of Western Reserve in lieu of flowers.
