He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy; his father Howard J.; and his siblings, Martha and Gayle. He is survived by: the fathers of children, David (Antoinette) and James (Denise); and his grandchildren, Alyssa, Cierra, Alex, Cory, Amanda, Sean, Callie and Cassandra.

In Gordon's honor, donations can be made to Ridgewood United Methodist Memorial Fund.
