Christos Chamis Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Christos Chamis (Parma, Ohio), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 23, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Anastasia Kyriakos Gianos and Constantinos Michael Chamis; and his sister Chrysanthie. He is survived by: his wife Alice Yanosko; his children, Chrysanthie (Mike), Anna Lisa and Constantinos (Anita); and his grandchildren, Anastasia, Pete, Eva and Meru.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Yurch Funeral Home (5618 Broadview Rd, Parma, OH 44134). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at the St. Theodosius Cemetery (8200 Biddulph Rd, Brooklyn, OH 44144).
He was a reviewer of technical proposals for National Science Foundation (NSF), the Army and Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR).
