He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Makela and Dorothy Makela; his sister Nancy Waller (late Bob); his daughter Connie Watt (late Herb); and his grandchildren, Adam Makela and Taylor Makela.
He is survived by: his wife Gwen; his children, Walter (Janet), Margaret Moore (Arthur), Thomas (Mary) and Diane Makela; and his grandchildren, Melissa Dress (Josh), Charles Moore (Christy), Elizabeth Watt (Eddie Vata), Amanda Garcia, Lisa Biddle (Dan), Herbie Watt, Matthew Makela (Ashlynn), Michael Makela (Amanda) and Jaime Ferguson (Brandon).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Busch Funeral Home (7501 Ridge Rd, Parma, OH 44129). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
