He was predeceased by: his spouse Jean; his stepson Bret Bolczak; his parents, Alice Gape and John Gape; his sisters, Margaret "Margie" Gape and Delores "Bunny" Wells; his siblings-in-law, Joe Wells and Carol Landi (Jean); his half-brothers, Harry, Jackie and Davie; and his niece Dawn Wells.
He is survived by: his son John Wayne Gape; his brother-in-law Greg Landi; and his nieces, Denise Gape Kelley and Christine Gape.
