She was predeceased by: her husband Edward F. Gawry Jr.; and her brother Joseph Daschner. She is survived by: her children, Mark Gawry, Martin Gawry (Jon) and Ann Marie Krahe (Chris); and her grandchildren, Edward, Veronika and Allison Krahe.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Elsie's name can be made to Playhouse Square Foundation or The Cleveland Public Library.
