It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of August Cantavenera of Parma Heights, Ohio, who passed away on April 19, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. As August departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though August may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy August leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his mother Anna Cantavenera; his uncles, Michael LaGreca (Elaine) and Dominic LaGreca (Angela); and his aunt Theresa Comella (William). He is survived by: his father Vincent Cantavenera; and his brothers, Angelo (Theresa) and Dominic.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ripepi Funeral Home (5762 Pearl Rd, Parma, OH 44129). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John Bosco Church (6480 Pearl Rd, Parma Heights, OH 44130).
