She was predeceased by: her sibling Stamati Karnavas (Popi); and her parents, Spiro Karnavas and Moshoula Karnavas. She is survived by: her spouse Mathews Krokos; her children, Marianthi Cesaratto, Sarantos and Krokos; and her grandchild Dimitra Cesaratto.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Areti to St. Paul Ladies Philoptochos or to Hospice of the Western Reserve.
