He was predeceased by: his parents, James Carpenter and Maggie Carpenter (Scott); and his siblings, Ty Carpenter, James "Danny" Carpenter, William Carpenter and Minerva Dale Carpenter.
He is survived by: his wife Jerri Badders; his children, Rodger M. Carpenter of Melrose, OH, Jodi Carlisle (Kyle) of Paulding, OH and Shannon Houck (John) of Defiance, OH; and his siblings, Becky Conley of Payne, OH, Patsy Mayer of Fort Wayne, IN, Robin Carpenter of Decatur, IN and Scott Carpenter of Convoy, OH. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
