He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Bond and Avon Bond (Lichty); his son James W. Bond, Jr.; and his granddaughter Ashley McCarley. He is survived by: his children, Kristie Seiler (Steven) of Bryan, OH and Nathanial Bond (Emily) of Bryan, OH; and his grandchildren, Alexandra Seiler and Elijah Seiler.

Memorial contributions may be made in James' memory to the American Alzheimer's Association, 225 N Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
