He is survived by: his wife Sally Reik; his children, Henry Bonath (Dru), Cheryl Goff (Daniel), Daniel Bonath, Sarah Westover (Brandon), Jesse Bonath, Michael Bonath, Samantha Bonath and Amanda Detweiler (Rodney); his grandchildren, Maggie, Hank, K. J. Bonath, Isaac, Abigail and Benjamin Goff; and his siblings, Roger Bonath (Donna), Dale Bonath (Sue) and Judy Workman (Carlos). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
