He was predeceased by: his parents, Lane McCrate and Jessie McCrate (Maidlow); and his siblings, William McCrate and Kathleen McCrate-Beckman. He is survived by: his wife Pearl McMonigal; his children, Laura Schroeder (Darrin) of Leipsic, Carolyn Tienarend (Todd) of Bloomdale and Jim McCrate, Jr. (Deanna) of Linden, MI; and his brother Dennis McCrate (Marie) of Barnsville. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
