He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Hilty and Delilah Hilty (Amstutz); his wife Myrtle "Gay" Miller Hilty; and his sisters, Marjorie Bayman, Ruth Hilty, Geneva Samsal and Lois Hilty.
He is survived by: his children, Rolland Hilty of New Paris, Sheila Harrigan (Steve) of Ft. Wayne, Craig Hilty (Sarah) of Pandora, Elaine Basinger (Brion) of Pandora, Karen Hilty of Pandora and Steven Hilty (Brenda) of Pandora; and his grandchildren, Joshua Hilty (Jamie), Daniel Hilty (Jessica), Andrew Hilty (Carrie), Nathan Hilty, Tim Harrigan (Anne), Rachel McPherson (Octavious), Jonathan Harrigan (Mallory), David Harrigan (Ashley), Caleb, Cameron Hilty, Adam Basinger (Kaitlyn), Austin Basinger (Carrie), Amber Schuemann (Ben), Abram Basinger (Jennifer), Seth Hilty and Isaac Hilty. He is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
