William G. Aston Sr. Obituary

We are sad to announce that on December 4, 2021, at the age of 92, William G. Aston Sr. of Painesville, Ohio, born in Carnegie, Pennsylvania passed away.

In 1946, he joined the US Army Air Corps and was stationed in the Philippines until his discharge from the service with a WWII Victory Metal. He spent more than 40 years doing auto body paint and repair work at Bill Smith Oldsmobile, John's Body Shop, and Classic Chevrolet. He was predeceased by: his parents, William R. Aston and Helen Aston (Lipscomb); former wife Evelyn (Plantt) Aston and mother of their seven children, his daughter Barbara Aston; his grandson Dante Aston; niece Vickie, and his siblings, Arthur, James Aston, Betty and Norma.

He is survived by: his wife Hilda Aston (Booth); his children, William G. Aston, Jr. (Sandra), Klissa Threat, Patricia Phillips (Alphonso), Evelyn Howard, Renee Aston, and Scott Aston; and his siblings, Warren (Tammy), Kenny (Sereda), Raymond (Sandy), Kim and Patty. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, 19 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
