He is survived by: his children, Michael Starkey (Patti), Patrick Starkey (Laurette), Timothy Starkey, Thomas Starkey (Jody), Samuel Starkey and Jennifer Kalina (David); his sisters, Mary Starkey, Lois Stanton and Ruthanne Hiner (Denny); his sister-in-law Ruth Starkey; his grandchildren, Dora Bechtel (Brian), Matthew Starkey, Ryan Starkey, Kali Starkey, Layne Starkey, Nathan Starkey, Lila Kalina, William Kalina, Tiffany Keiss and Amanda Steinmetz; and his great grandchildren, Brooke Bechtel and Bailey Bechtel.
