He was predeceased by: his siblings, Annie Pearl Merriweather, Alberta Bullock, Teressa Wilson, Mozelle Thomas and Grover Thomas.
He is survived by: his wife Louella; his children, Walter Thomas, Jr. (Patrice), Nicole Michelle and Sean Isom; his grandchildren, Zavier Powers, Bishop Thomas, Lola Thomas and Denzel Isom; his siblings, Mildred Anderson, Celestine Thomas (Joe), Louis Thomas (Brenda) and Gwendolyn Henderson (Gary); and his parents-in-law, Bonnie Thomas and Bernard Merriweather.
