She was predeceased by: her husband Hayward Simmons; her son Hayward Jr.; and her siblings, Hazel, Anna Belle, Perry and Mildred.

She is survived by: her children, Joseph Jackson (Lynn) of Painesville, Terry Simmons (Denise) of Painesville, Timothy Simmons of Painesville and Peggy Sue Simmons of Painesville. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
