He was predeceased by: his parents, Lenhart Drotleff and Gladys Drotleff (Gehrke). He is survived by: his wife Janet Drotleff (Centnar); his children, Tammy Schreffler of Chardon and Brian Drotleff (Katie) of North Royalton; his grandchildren, Daniel, Brandon Schreffler, Addison and Zachary Drotleff; and his siblings, Gayle Smith (Jerry) of Twinsburg, Kathy Giusti (Rick) of Avon and Mark Drotleff of Moore, SC..

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard's name to Zion Lutheran Church, Painesville, Ohio or the charity of choice.
