He was predeceased by: his mother Daisy McNair; his wife Pauline McNair; his children, Nathaniel Jenkins, Mary Collins, Phyllis Young and Joyce Rita Jenkins; and his grandchildren, Denita Rice, Bryson Rice and Makayla Lanier.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel Lynn (Sherry), John Jenkins, Peggy Jeffries, Joseph Eudell and Sandra Williams; his godchildren, Rhonda Mitchell and Benjamin Ware; his nephew James Martin, Sr.; and his niece Audrey. He is also survived by 57 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren.
