We are sad to announce that on January 18, 2025, at the age of 82, John J. Spetz (Painesville, Ohio) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Spetz and Genevieve Spetz; and his wife Elizabeth Ann Kermode (Libby). He is survived by: his children, John Spetz, Lisa Spetz, Tina Spetz, Joni Becks (Charlie), Mike Spetz (Kelly), James Spetz (Sarim), Joe Spetz (Gretchen), Marie Spetz, Cate Spetz and Dan Spetz; his grandchildren, Anthony Guarnieri, Naomi Vavpetic, Aggie Becks, Julia Vavpetic, Tre Becks, Ted Spetz, Joey Guarnieri, Dom Spetz, Grady Spetz, Phin Spetz, Annie Spetz, Ollie Spetz, Parker Vavpetic, Lillian Spetz, Alana Spetz and Kara Spetz; his siblings, Joe Spetz (Genice) and Jacque Westall (Bill); his sister-in-law Susan Spetz (Jim); and his siblings, Jim Spetz, Joyce Lundblad (Donald) and Joan Brannigan (Patrick Francis).

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St Mary Catholic Church (242 N State St, Painesville, OH 44077). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

Memorial contributions can be made in John's memory to the charity at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
