He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hellwig and Winifred Hellwig; and his brother Alan. He is survived by: his children, Debbie Afsarifard (Kamran), Susan Keeley and John (Cindy); his grandchildren, Roya, Leah, Nick, Tyler (Meaghan), Meggyn, Alana, Cassidy and Allie; his siblings, Roberta Shinhearl (late Robert), Hollace Vavra (David), Denise, Dana, Timothy, Heidi Klein and Andrea; and his wife June.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a small private service is planned for the immediate family only.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a contribution to Hospice of Western Reserve in John's memory.
