Though James William may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.

He was predeceased by: his siblings, Sharon Spence and Dennis Spence. He is survived by: his children, Kelly Coleman (late Bill) of Pasadena and Kevin Spence of Lewes, Delaware.; his grandchildren, Adrian James Coleman (Marlyn) and Andrew Joseph Gonzalez; his great grandchild Lana James Coleman; and his siblings, Thomas Spence (Kathy) of Painesville, Jon Spence (Susan) of North Carolina, Mary Ann McDonald (Ed) of Painesville and Nancy Vash (Ron) of Painesville.

Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory (368 Mentor Ave, Painesville, OH 44077). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church (316 5th St, Fairport Harbor, OH 44077).
