He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Vestle, Mildred Tinker, Kenneth and Elleanor Haffa; and his father-in-law Albert N. Torres.

He is survived by: his parents, James Haffa and Wanda Haffa (Tinker); his wife Julia; his sons, Alexander "A. J." and Mason; his sisters, Dawn Haffa Tucker and Wendy Haffa Darling (Chris); his mother-in-law Stella Torres; his sisters-in-law, Lisa Kistler (Derrick), Victoria Torres (John McGuire) and Elizabeth Kosakowski (Patrick); and his nieces and nephews, Tyler, Fallon, Nicolas, Madisyn, Gerrit, Gracelyn, Ceceilia, Cienna, Stella, Seger, Isabella and Patrick.

As giving in death as he was in life, Jim extended his generosity through organ donation.
