He was predeceased by: his son Mark Pernus; his parents, Joseph William and Johanna Pernus (Hannikman); and his siblings, Joel (Joyce Pernus) and Theadore Banaszek (Rome).
He is survived by: his significant other Joy; his children, Rebecca Federer (Steven) and Rich Kaminski; and his siblings, Jeffrey Pernus (Glenda), Jill Vogel (Thomas), Nancy Travnik (Ray), Karen Schmoele (George), Michelle Amato (Peter) and Debbie Leasure. He is also survived by Three grandchildren and Six great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
