He was predeceased by: his parents, Niilo Everett Erkkila (Nick) and Linne Maria Erkkila (Sivula); his wife Patricia Erkkila (Rigby); and his sons, David N. Erkkila, Mark M. Erkkila and Thomas H. Erkkila.
He is survived by: his close friend Patricia Rowlen; his grandchildren, Matthew Erkkila (Monica), Michael Erkkila (Renee), Mark Erkkila (Jerrica), Isaac Erkkila (Sierra), Nicole Erkkila and Erica Cicero (Charles); his great grandchildren, Eden, Eli, Eve, Ethan, Adaline, Austin, Marky and Bennett; and his siblings, Helmi Salminen (Pearl), Mildred Aileen Marie Pentek and Gilbert Everett Erkkila.
