Hattie M. Brown Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 7, 2024, at the age of 89, Hattie M. Brown (Painesville, Ohio) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Hattie may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Hattie touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alberta Hughes and Moses Shanklin; her husband James Brown of Painesville; and her siblings, James Shanklin and Cornelia Shanklin.
She is survived by: her child Aundrea; her grandchildren, Andrew "AJ" Brown of David, Chad Jackson and Aylanna Brown; and her great grandchild Nala Brown. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory (368 Mentor Ave, Painesville, OH 44077). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the New Hope Baptist Church (428 W Jackson St, Painesville, OH 44077).
