He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex E. and Mary Ann Chom Sr. (Pozca); and his siblings, Joseph Chom, Alex E. Chom Jr., Dorothy Kozsey (Chom) and Rosemary Leonard (Chom).
He is survived by: his wife Helga F. M. [Fichtl] Chom; his children, Francis A. Chom (Iva), Michael J. Chom (Christine), Ronald A. Chom (Leslie), Sonja M. Chom-Cesen (Michael Cesen), Christopher J. Chom (Christina) and Edward E. Chom (Claudia); and his grandchildren, Amanda Rae Chom, Lynnea Smith, Haley Chom, Joseph Chom, Alex Chom, Stefanie Lehmann, Anthony Chom, Benjamin Chom, Andrew Chom, Marcus Chom and John Cesen. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
