He was predeceased by: his parents, John Furtaw and Frances Furtaw (Whitehead); his siblings, Bill (Mary Stokes), Lynn (Richard Clifton) and Mae (Frank Geistle); and his brother-in-law Tom Johnson.
He is survived by: his pet Tara; his children, Shelly Dubois (Robert), Meredith Furtaw and Melanie Furtaw; his stepchildren, Alan Clinger (Elizabeth) and Melissa Clingerman; and his siblings, Virgil Furtaw (Regina), Julie Johnson and Patricia Carlucci (Tony). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; many grand and great grand children.
