He was predeceased by: his parents, John Phillips and Grace Phillips; and his siblings, Lula, Edna, John-Luther, Clarence, Ruby, Donald and Lorena.
He is survived by: his wife Gladys Bowling; his children, Wayne Phillips (Diana), Ronnie Phillips (Marty) and Daisy Combs (Johnny); his grandchildren, Kristina Marcum (Houston), Aaron Phillips (Amanda), Ronald Phillips (Lupita), Matthew Phillips and Kimberly Nichting (Tyler); his great grandchildren, Hannah Boggs (Justin), Hayden Marcum, Jett Phillips, Ike Phillips, Presley Phillips, Ragnar Phillips, Riyah Nichting and Tyler Nichting; and his sister Pat Kincer (Keith).
Visitation was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Paul R Young Funeral Home (5086 College Corner Pike, Oxford, OH 45056). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
In 2004, Oxford Mayor Jerome Conley declared December 30th to be "William Albert Phillips Day" to recognize and honour Albert's many contributions to the community.
