She was predeceased by: her parents, Clark Morgan and Phyllis Powell Cook; her children, Philip Morgan and Pamela Eileen; and her sisters, Carol Cook Warstler and Alice Cook Mollet.

She is survived by: her husband Nicholas A. Poccia; her son Nicholas P. Poccia (Michelle); and her grandchildren, Marco (Missy), Rachel (Noel) and Marie.

Phyllis died from complications while recovering from the Covid-19 virus.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Phyllis C. Poccia Award in Music at Miami University or to The Future Care Fund at The Knolls of Oxford.
