It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Michael Edgar Baker of Oxford, Ohio, who passed away on January 19, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Shirley Baker (Smith) and Edgar Baker; his siblings, Carole Reynolds and John Baker; and his brother-in-law Larue Reynolds.

He is survived by: his wife Nikki Baker (Wynn); his children, Angela Hitch (Jonathon), Tiffany Baker (Harley Grimes), Tara Bennett (Stephen), Christopher Baker and Regina Baker; his sister Linda Davis; and his grandchildren, Allyson Baldwin, Katlyn Baldwin, Julie Baldwin, Madison Jones, Caiden Jones, Caila Jones, Harley Grimes Jr., Olivia Bennett and Lincoln Bennett. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.

“We long time Navy friends and shipmates of Attack Squadron 86 salute Mike for his fine service together with us 1972-76. He was a dedicated Navy Man and great shipmate serving his country well in Vietnam and aboard USS America. I have posted on the VA-86 Alumni Website and several who knew Mike are saddened.
