She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl E. Derickson and Gertrude L. Derickson; her husband Carl R. Garnett; and her siblings, Robert E (Pearl), Donald P (Vivian) and Clara M Schlichter (Herbert).
She is survived by: her children, Don Garnett, Becki Smith (Greg) and Cassie McCartney (Mike); her grandchildren, Austin Cousino (Stephanie), Allyson Cousino Smith (Patrick), Anna Smith, Katy Smith, Lauren Sebben (Phil) and Jonathon McCartney (Bryanna); her great grandchildren, Levi, Naomi and Evelyn; her parents-in-law, Freda Garnett and Robert Garnett (Carolyn); and her cousins, Melvin Derickson (Jean) and Charlotte White (Bill). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
