It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Lee Akerman (Oxford, Ohio), born in Geneva, Ohio, who passed away on March 28, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Tower and Mabel Evelyn Akerman (Michel). He is survived by: his sister Sally Ladner of Conneaut, OH.; his children, Ron (Lora) and Sandie (Jim Grindel); his granddaughter Angi (Tommy Clayton); his great grandchildren, TJ and Carli; his grandson Jon (Evelyn); his great grandchildren, Ellis Rose and Ian Rupert; his grandson Tanner (Kari); his niece Gayle Avery (Bill); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Allison (Richard Wollenhaupt) and Michael Avery (Heather); and also, Wesley and Mary Means Akerman. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and niece.
