She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Herbert Christiansen and Donna Mae Geertz; and her husband John Montgomery Green. She is survived by: her son Matthew; her daughter-in-law Paula Green of Oxford, OH; her daughter Lee Anne; her son-in-law David Vitatoe of Virginia Beach, VA; her grandchildren, Nico, Luca Vitatoe, Valerie and Norah Green; and her brothers, Dana (Patty Christiansen) and Scott (Carol Christiansen).
In lieu of flowers, it was Joan's wish that any memorial tributes be made in the form of charitable donations.
