He was predeceased by: his parents, O. T. Swartz and Laura Swartz; his siblings, Barbara Stadtlander (Joe) and Richard Tower Swartz (Katherine); and his stepson Gary Dearth.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Darling Swartz; his brother John Swartz (Joan); his stepchildren, Carl Dearth, Linda Williams, Fred Dearth and Paul Dearth; and his friend Mary Ramey. He is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, and friends.
