He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Wilhelm and Francis Wilhelm; his brothers, Ernie Neal, Bobby, Ed and Randy Wilhelm; and his sister-in-law Denise Toole.

He is survived by: his wife Joycelyn Wilhelm (Toole); his children, Leslie Brankamp (Tom) and Joe Wilhelm (Mary); his grandchildren, Megan, Matthew, Michael Brankamp and Haley Wilhelm; his siblings, Dave, Danny, Gene, Theresa and Craig Wilhelm; and his sisters-in-law, Tonya Toole (Jen Thorn) and Devona Wilhelm. He is also survived by many family members and more friends.
